ALL THE KING'S HORSES
Well,
all the King's Horses
and
all the king's men
couldn't
put the king's heart back together again
cause
the queen left him for a man Jim
who
rode a Harley Davidson
And
the last thing they heard her say
as
she sped away on that final day...
"Don't
put glue on my shoe, and don't tie me down.
Don't
tell me your woes, cause they make me frown.
I'll
lend you an ear, but I ain't your crutch.
I
could never go an love no one that much."
Humphrey,
he has his Katherine, and Harold, Harold has his Maude
Lillian,
she has her Herman, and one day the Princess,
that
Princess found a frog...
And
she didn't kiss it on the lips, but between the hips
and
she did it real long, til the spell lost its grip.
That
frog put on a grin so wide, that a man stepped outside,
pulled
up is Harley and said, "Let's go for a ride."
The
queen thought about the kind, thought about all the trouble he'd sing,
thought
about all the joy that leavin' him would bring.
So
she straddled that bike, it was a feeling she liked.
Jim
revved the engine and they were out of sight.
meanwhile
in the throne room, the king dwelt in his gloom,
he
was upset because his whole court would be leaving soon.
Now
everyone had an invite to Jim's party that night,
and
the king said, "I'll stay home out of spite."
Well
that party was so long, that it's still goin' on,
there's
the Jim, the queen, the king's court, you and me.
Y'know
that king wouldn't be alone today,
if
he'd just listen to the words the queen would say,
the
same ones she called out on that final day:
"Don't
put glue on my shoe, and don't tie me down.
Don't
tell me your woes cause they make me frown.
I'll
lend you an ear, but I ain't your crutch.
I
could never go an love no one that much."
